Bio

Luca Zanardello (Sandrigo, 1975)

In 1994 I began helping my family during the summers in their ceramics workshop. I had always been passionate about technology, and back then the first digital cameras were appearing on the market. Sensing how useful they could be for preparing sales catalogues, I convinced my father to invest in what was, at the time, one of the first high-end digital cameras, the Polaroid PDC2000.

I started right away studying the fundamentals of photography with every book I could find, and I built a small still-life studio. Soon I noticed the limits of the PDC's software, and Polaroid offered me the chance to test their program. That collaboration let me work alongside professional photographers, from whom I learned a great deal about light and composition. In those years I began studying the early versions of Adobe software, until I knew them with the ease of a hacker.

In 2006 I set off on a journey on the road that led me to cross paths with people. They gave soul to my photographs.

Over the years I have specialised in street and landscape photography. In my courses I teach everything I know, developing included.
